Los Cabos Airport Transportation!

As many of you may know, the Los Cabos airport can be pretty chaotic when you are trying to get out of the terminals to grab your taxi or your transportation service... So here is some information that may be helpful for your upcoming trip to Los Cabos. Remember that once you make it outside, your vacation is officially starting!!!

Arrival / Pick up services:

This is the most common service in the Los Cabos International Airport or San José del Cabo airport (SJD) which is well known for being the one with the most hassle in Mexico, as there are lots of time share sellers that will claim to be your transportation service or your hotel representative. They would also do anything to grab your attention, so just make sure to follow our Airport arrival meeting instructions:

In Terminal 1, once you clear immigration and claim your luggage then you will have to go in line to clear customs. Once you are done clearing customs, you will walk into a room with 2 exits. You will see one door to your left hand side and one door to your right hand side this one should say “Groups Arrival” please take this door and exit the terminal building to the public airport transportation area, while in terminal 2, there is only one exit so there is no way to get lost there but when you are actually walking thru the area where the airport sharks (time share sellers) are located they will attack no matter which terminal you are at and will require your voucher or your confirmation for hotel or transportation, they may even say they are there for you and that you have to check in with them for your pre-contracted service, well this is not true at all, so keep walking and ignore them unless you really want to buy a time share and if you get caught by them please walk out the terminal to let your driver know you are already there so he waits for you otherwise you may walk out and the driver will not be there anymore... So if you make it thru these guys safe and sound, when you are outside you shall be met by our transportation host or driver carrying a CGS sign with your name on.

TIP: Once you have cleared immigration, if you are traveling with more persons, one person can go to the customs line and wait, while the other persons claims the luggage, this way you will save some time going thru customs as sometimes there are only a couple of agents and few flights arrive between 12 and 3 pm with hundreds of persons which will be there at the same time and this can keep you there for at least one hour and Mondays are the worst. J

Departure / Drop off Services.

Upon arrival our driver will make sure we have the right information for your departure service. But it is very important to confirm your return or any changes at least the day before your return so we can be on the same track. Especially if you would like to adjust your departure pick up time, as all the vehicles are scheduled one day before and any changes during the same day may be difficult. Even thou you can be sure that we’ll do our best to accommodate your service, it is better to do it with enough time in advance. Please take note of this as it works for any reserved activities or services.

For the Departure services and in order to arrive on time to your scheduled flight we recommend:

Location - Pick Up Time

San Jose del Cabo- 2 hours and 15 minutes prior flight.

Puerto Los Cabos - 2 hours and 25 minutes prior flight.

Tourist Corridor - 2 hours and 25 minutes prior flight.

Cabo San Lucas - 2 hours and 40 minutes prior flight.

Pacific Side - 2 hours and 50 minutes prior flight.

Important Information:

Always make sure you have all of your traveling documents in hand like Valid Passport, Valid ID, plane tickets and hotel confirmations and your transfer voucher with you.
