Cabo is on Fire [Fishing]

Cabo is on Fire

As Renegade Mike posted yesterday, the Tuna have arrived in Cabo. Not only Tuna but Marlin, Sailfish and nice sized Dorado. The pictures below are from the past few days. Saturday was a beautiful day with calm sea's and everything seemed to be working. We had Sailfish, Marlin and then put the kite up with a helium balloon in a school of Spinner Dolphin and had our limit in 30 minutes. The two biggest on the kite with a Yummee Flying Fish and the others on lures. Water temperature was 84F and Ballyhoo & lures worked great. Friday & Saturday we fished about 15 miles up the coast on the Pacific side and just 2-3 miles offshore.

Today, Jaime took his panga "Jessica" out on a charter and after finding the Porpoise 6 miles out from Margaritas, he put the kite up and caught a nice 80 lb Yellowfin Tuna. Very interesting fight, stand-up on a panga but the angler was very happy with the results. The other small Tuna were on feathers. The weather got really ugly later in the day with pounding rain and wind and the ride back to Marina was fun - NOT!

Good Luck to everyone.
